May the fourth be with you on this Star Wars Day.
You wouldn’t think that hypnosis for self improvement and Star Wars have anything in common. But they do – one thing – Yoda.
Yoda knew what the correct mental attitude for successfully using hypnosis for self improvement was . . .
“Do or Do Not – There is No Try”
When it comes to hypnosis, you are either in or out. There is no half-way.
I often get calls from people and the conversation goes like this:
Caller: “My wife wants me to quit smoking, can you make me quit?”
Me: “Do you want to quit?”
Caller: “Not really, sometimes I enjoy it, but to make her happy, I told her I’d try hypnosis to see if it works.”
That is a client I won’t take.
Hypnosis is a Team Effort
You have to want the change in order make it happen. Hypnosis is not something I do to someone. It is something I do with someone.
So, if you want to make a change, I can help you get past the part of your mind that stops suggestions from being accepted by your subconscious. (More on that on this page).
And the correct mental attitude is what helps with this success.
“I like it and I know the suggestions are going to work”
On the other hand, If you go into hypnosis with the attitude of “I’m going to try hypnosis to see if it works”, it’s extremely unlikely you are going to make that change.
So, are you in or out?
In conclusion, if you can honestly say to yourself, “I’ve had it with <insert habit or concern here> and I am ready and willing to make this change“, you can be successful.
