Overcome that body
step confidently into
the success you desire
If you bite your nails,
pull out your hair, or
pick at your skin,
hypnosis can help you
release that behaviour
One or more of these body focused repetitive behaviours has been dominating your life for years. You’ve tried various methods to overcome the issue without success. And you’re tired of it, but you feel like you might as well give up and consider that this is part of your life.
Aren’t you tired of feeling defeated?
Hypnosis is an excellent way of overcoming body focused repetitive behaviours
I use a hypnosis method called The Simpson Protocol to deal with these behaviours. This holistic hypnosis process works with the deepest and most powerful part of your mind, the Superconscious.
In this process no stone is left unturned as it works to resolve your issues completely on all levels – mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
And it is achieved while you’re in a comfortable, relaxed hypnotic trance, allowing you to use your own mental assets to do the evaluation and change work within.
It’s a very empowering process that allows you to make the positive change you want to make.
At the end of the first session, we program three keywords into your mind that you can use for your own self-hypnosis. You can use self-hypnosis to help you manage day-to-day stress and also to allow you to do a session first thing in the morning to set your day up for success.
Case Studies for Body Focused Repetitive Behaviour Clients
This client was no stranger to hypnosis when she reached out to me. She had had hypnosis years before for this issue and it had worked, until some people close to her passed away. Then she started pulling her hair again.
After we worked together, she stopped the behaviour. And, sadly, after we worked together, some more people who were important passed away. But, this time she was able to get through the sad events without reverting to her hair pulling habit.
This client had an autoimmune condition that caused bumps on her skin.
She picked at them for years and asked her doctor if he could help her stop doing this. His response was that the only way he could stop her from picking at her skin was to put both of her hands in casts.
She reached out to me and we conducted her sessions on-line as she lived an hour away from me. When we met for her second session, her first words were, “where have you been for the past six years?”. She had stopped picking at her skin.
Finger Nail Biting
This is an issue that is very near and dear to my heart. Hypnosis helped me overcome my nail biting habit. It is what inspired me to become a hypnotist.
The client I want to tell you about was also a lifelong nail biter until after her first session. Then she wasn’t.
As a businesswoman, she is aware of how she looks and her habit affected her self-confidence. She told me that she loved how her nails looked after they grew out and that her confidence increased, which she considered an added bonus.
There are many more behaviours in the Body Focused Repetitive Behaviours group. The three listed on this page are issues clients have successfully overcome with hypnosis. Even though I may not have worked with your issue, this does not mean hypnosis can help you. I invite you to book a consultation to discuss.
I have had a lifelong hair-pulling disorder all my life.
Many years ago, after many different attempts and methods of trying to stop, I was able to stop for a two year period using hypnosis. Unfortunately, I had a number of dear friends die within a short period of time and went back to hair-pulling. At that time the person I worked with using hypnosis had retired.
Fast forward 17 years and I was at a point of wanting to stop this behaviour once and for all. I went to Julia and stopped after the first treatment, and was supported with tapes to listen to, cards to use as visual touchpoints, and two follow-up hypnosis sessions. I have had three people, dear to me, die since my first appointment with Julia and I have had no desire to use hair-pulling as a stress reliever. I have not added other negative behaviours into my life to cope with stress.
I believe the method Julia uses is effective and provides a person with positive alternatives to the behaviour I wanted to stop. She is professional from start to finish and is easy to work with. I highly recommend her services to anyone who has tried other methods to stop negative coping behaviours.
Please note: Even if my clients have used medical or psychological language in their testimonials, the services I provide are motivational coaching by means of hypnosis.
